Just a short boat ride away from Centraal and you'll reach NDSM. Has loads of really cool cafes and music venues, I went during Autumn but can imagine it would be great during summer

The NDSM area is located in Noord ("North"), but is easily accesible via a free ferry. This area is up and coming, as it is very stylish, full of murals, and has many great restaurants and cafes.

There is a free ferry in the city leaving from near the main train station and taking you to the North of the city.
