🎅🏼VISIT WITH SANTA: Join Charleston County Parks to experience a visit with Santa Claus during dedicated hours in a calming, subdued environment! We invite people with disabilities and their families to come and enjoy a festive photo session with Santa himself. Santa is fluent in ASL (American Sign Language)! Program is $25 per group of up to five people and includes one 5×7 souvenir photo and one complimentary pass to come back and enjoy the Holiday Festival of Lights at night! Advance registration is required at the link below. A maximum of six families can register for each 30-minute time slot, and each visit with Santa will be on a first-come, first-served basis during that time slot. If your group has more than five people, please book multiple spots. You’ll receive one 5×7 souvenir photo of your visit and have the opportunity to upgrade to a multiple photo package onsite. No personal photography will be allowed.

On Thursday May 6th, Pet Helpers will proudly host “An Intimate Evening with Trey Taylor” at James Island County Park! The “Intimate Evening” series provides concert goers with a unique mix of music, storytelling, and fellowship around a great cause. With complimentary beverages, as well as a dinner provided by The Immortal Lobster, this is sure to be an all around engaging evening. VIP Ticket Holders will have an exclusive experience to meet and mingle with Pet Helpers during the VIP Yappy Hour, and meet and mingle with Trey Taylor after the music.  All proceeds benefit the lifesaving mission of Pet Helpers!  General Admission is $250 and VIP is $350.

Holiday Festival of Lights at James Island County Park is one of Charleston’s most cherished holiday events, featuring an estimated two million dazzling lights. The Holiday Festival of Lights is held every evening, rain or shine, 5:30pm - 10pm until December 31st, 2020. 3 miles, 700 light displays from traditional holiday scenes to Lowcountry icons such as Rainbow Row, the Cooper River, and Ravenel Bridges; to various themed sections like Sea Land, Dinosaur Land, Candy Land and Toy Land. Drive through a concessions area to pick up treats like the famous hot chocolate. Restrooms are available at one location within the park, but otherwise remain in your cars! 🤸‍♀️SUMMER SOLSTICE YOGA FEST: 6PM-8:30PM. $25 per person, registration ahead of time is required. The Summer Solstice is a time to reconnect with each other and nature as the sun rises to the highest point in the sky. Live music begins at 6:00 p.m., and yoga begins at 6:30 p.m. A kids yoga class will be offered concurrently. Admission includes yoga class, T-shirt, adult beverages, and shaved ice.

The Charleston County Park & Recreation Commission will host the Summer Solstice Yoga Fest on June 17th at 6 pm. The event will be led by Caroline Nash and includes live music from Mystic Vibrations. People of all fitness levels and ages are welcome. Tickets are $25 for ages 13+ and include a yoga class, a t-shirt, adult beverages, and shaved ice for kids. Food from Bohemian Bull will also be available for purchase. Live music will start at 6 pm and the yoga class will begin at 6:30 pm. No pets are allowed and onsite registration will not be available. The rain date for the event is Thursday, June 24th.
