Known for its iconic arched bridge. Time your travels with a Red Bull evenet and you can see the top athelets jump in the water with flips and spins from extreme heights right in the middle of a charming old town. Its still a bit war- torn city (the whole country is) but the tourism is picking up so go there before it's too packed with foreigners. It's also very exciting to see how religion used to be completely seperated with just a river, the difference between both sides of the river is hard to miss

Stari Most is the symbol of the city: bombed in 1993, the bridge was recreated in the image and likeness of the previous one and, still today, unites the Muslim area with the Christian one. Symbol of union, therefore, as well as of rebirth.

Sure, there’s an old bridge over the river in the old town. Be sure to see it while you’re here. But, there’s another history, recent though it is, of the Balkans conflict when the former Yugoslavia broke up. Not too far from the old town is the outskirts of Mostar that still show the scars of war.

Up and Coming: A beautiful city with a horrific history, completely destroyed by bombs a little over 20 years ago this amazing city is worth a visit to see how the country and people have rebuilt themselves! One of my favorite places I have ever had the pleasure of traveling to!

Mostar is an interesting city due to its past and where it is now. Old town is picturesque with little stores and cobblestone walkways. A lot of the buildings still have bullet holes from the war in the 90s, they are a memorial of the past.

I visited it this summer the place is amazing. The people are so lovely and welcoming, even after such hardships! The nature and scenery surrounding the area is so unbelivable.

Bosnia is such an underrated country and so is this city. If you are in europe and have extra time or planning to go to europe and don't know where to go then you MUST visit bosnia and this city specifically. It has way less tourists than your average european city, yet it is one of the most beautiful that I have ever been to. The lush countryside, beautiful buildings, interesting history and kindhearted people. Spend at least a week in Bosnia and visit the surrounding cities as well.

A must see city if you visit Bosnia and Herzegovina! You can spend one day or more depending on how much you want to explore. The Stari Most "Old Bridge" is a spectacular site as well as the cobble stone streets of Old Town.
