Ubud itself I found very nice. A small town where life - as so often in Asia - takes place on / on the streets. A few days are sufficient in my opinion, however. Mainly there are 2 big streets where something is going on but especially in the streets in between there are cheap restaurants and bar's, you just have to find them. I was particularly impressed by the artistic side of Ubud. Everywhere there are galleries and craft things are sold, which are beautiful and, above all, very trendy in Europe. Totally hipster city with healthy / vegan food, yoga and self-made.

Ahh… Ubud truly captured our hearts. Easily our go to spot in Bali. Forget Kuta and Seminyak, Ubud is where it’s at.

Watch a Traditional Balinese Funeral Procession. Most commonly seen in Ubud area, it really is quite a spectacle.

Ubud is a dream - more relaxed than the party areas of Bali, you can come here to do yoga, play with monkeys, and visit waterfalls and temples!

Take a moped or motorbike and explore the vicinity of Kuta. Go to Ubud and visit the Zen Hideaway swing which is instafamous for sure. Visit Tegalalang rice terraces and be amazed by its beauty. Take a yoga class and relax all day. The possiblities are endless.
