Take your shoes off. Walk the beaches, parks and streets barefoot - slow down, cheer up, chill out! And visit a Farmers Market (Thursday mornings). Byron local's love thy farmer - and always support them by picking up fresh produce on a Thursday morning. You'll be blown away by the food you find!

Stay in a sharehouse! Unfortunately 1/5th of Byron Bay's rental market is now holiday homes. Local's struggle to find a place to live and to pay the rent. Many are welcoming visitors into their homes to help pay the bills - and why not? You'll have your own local guide for the trip too!

Beautiful beach town on the Northwest coast of NSW in Australia. Great restaurants. Lots of open air bars and live music. Miles and miles long white sand beaches and crystal clear water. Great for surfing. Green hills west of town filled with farms and quaint towns like Nimbin. Byron is a great mix of modern hotels / restaurants and the old bohemian crowd. Stay at The Byron at Byron Bay which was designed to blend into nature - short walk to beautiful and pristine Tallow Beach (just south of Byron Bay), but be careful swimming there given some of the worst rip tides in Oz.
