Barbara Ronnquist of West Ashley said she would like to invite Golden Globe Award-winning actress Bette Midler, weatherman Al Roker and her mother to a dream dinner. “I have lived in Charleston for seven years and try to eat dinner out several times a year, mostly for special occasions or when friends visit,” she said. “These are the restaurants and foods that hang in my memory and have become my ‘go to places.’”

Great for a celebration meal (we went when buying our 1st house) or if you’re just craving a really great steak and experience.

Probably the best steak in town. I recommend the ribeye. Great spot on Broad Street. Hit the Blind Tiger afterward for drinks in the back courtyard.

Go here to try your oysters “Rockefeller” style! That’s baked with a mix of spinach, butter, seasonings and bread crumbs.

Under-appreciated because of all the amazing steak options, but definitely worth a trip just for the the “Oak Burger”: signature blend of C.A.B. NY Strip, filet and brisket, grilled onions, tomatoes, Bibb lettuce, fontina cheese, brioche bun, hand-cut truffle fries. Add bacon!
