Dunleavy’s to Host the 28th Annual Polar Plunge on Sullivan’s Island

👀KNOW THIS: A North Carolina-based vodka brand is kicking off its southern expansion with a beach sweep. Blue Shark Vodka originated in Wilmington, North Carolina. The company partners with the Atlantic Shark Institute to fund research on shark activity in the Atlantic Ocean. On August 14, Blue Shark Vodka is inviting Lowcountry residents to a Sullivan's Island beach sweep, followed by drinks at Poe's. The clean up will start at 10 a.m. from the Poe's parking lot.

SULLIVAN'S ISLAND, S.C. (WCIV) — Seven of Dorchester Paws' adoptable dogs had a chance to get out of the shelter Thursday and walk and run on the beach. Some experienced water and the beach for the first time during the "Mutts for Miles Program." Others walked hiking trails, and some even met dolphins from afar.

The team behind Charleston-based hospitality group, Basic Projects announced they will open Sullivan’s Fish Camp, a new restaurant concept, this month at 2019 Middle Street on Sullivan’s Island.

On Sunday, November 13th, “Art on the Beach – Chefs in the Kitchen,” a tour of private homes on Sullivan’s Island, will be held. Each home on the tour will be showcasing a select group of artists and craftsmen, as well as featuring a chef from a local restaurant or catering company in each kitchen.
