Underrated in my opinion. I went there with low expectations and left- begrudgingly. I had a blast there. Great parties, restaurants are incredible, and fantastic sites such as the Teotihuacan Pyramids to visit nearby. We tasted home made tequilas and then hiked the pyramids, afterwards we are in a local’s home before heading back for the evening. Everyday I discovered new things I enjoyed.

Of course the list had to have the capital. A huge city with a ton of history and wonderful museums. Castillo Chapultepec, Teotihuacan, and Museo de Bellas Artes and many other wonderful things to see.

60% of travelers say they gain at least two kilos on holiday and if you visit Mexico City you will find yourself as one of them! Once a place of high crime rates, the city has recently undergone a big transformation and is now popular with foodies and hipsters, as well as those wanting to visit the museums to learn more about Mexican culture and heritage. It might take a few years for perceptions to change fully about this city, so get in before the tourism boom!

Lived here for a while and absolutely loved it. Easily the best street food on the planet, everything is super cheap, perfect weather, and so much to do. Highly recommend Roma or Polanco areas
