Catalina Island is a beautiful little Island about 26 miles off the coast of California. You can do the trip in a single day if you get up early and catch the first ferry there which leaves at about 8am and then return on the last ferry back to Dana Point which usually leaves at about 4:30pm.

In Season 15 of The Bachelor, Chantal and Brad flew in a helicopter to Catalina Island and walked on the ocean floor and looked at sea life. After, they had dinner at a campfire on the beach and in a tent. She got a rose.

A small island off the coast of Southern California, that almost nobody knows about. You can take a ferry over for the day or stay the weekend!

The first time I came to Catalina was in 1984 for Camp Fox, I was in 6th grade. Since then I was hooked on this small island off the shores of Los Angeles. A trip to Catalina Island can be a quick day trip to Avalon, a weekend, camping or however long you like. To get here you can take a ferry from the main land. Or if you have a boat, you can bring it into the harbour. There are also helicopter and small planes that will bring you to the island. Enjoy!
