Sistine Chapel, St Peter's Basilica, and the Vatican Museums are all located here. If you're there on Sunday you can also come and see the Pope speak from his balcony. Get there early though because the lines are long and there is security to go through that can take long.

Today I visited the world's smallest country for the second time, and it's even smaller than I remembered it! The Vatican City is enclaved within Rome, is just 110 acres big (1/8th the size of Central Park) and has less than 1,000 residents.

either do the Museum tours or St. Peter’s Basilica, but look into skip the line passes because the Vatican is always packed, but definitely worth it

Vatican City is located within Rome and is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. It is the smallest country in the world, both in area and population. Within Vatican City are religious and cultural sites such as St. Peter’s Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, and the Vatican museums. There are also several gift shops located within Vatican City where you can get your purchases blessed by the Pope… for free! You can also purchase tickets in advance to get blessed by the Pope or attend a Papal Mass on Wednesdays and Sundays. You should plan on arriving here in the morning to allow yourself enough time to clear security and avoid crowds.

highly recommend booking online for all of the tourist things here. You will skip the lines and let me tell you - the lines will take HOURS!!! Especially if you go in the summer you will die in the heat waiting for that long. If you book online and in advance then visiting here is a breeze and you can laugh at everyone else suffering that didn't think to do this. The Vatican is a place that everyone needs to see at least once in their lifetime. The history and story behind this place is incredible and it's unreal to see something I learned about in history books my whole life in person and realize how real it actually is.
