Hostels: Paraga Beach Hostel in Mykonos (awesome hostel on the beach and you camp and there’s a pool and beach bars everywhere. Nice restaurant in the hostel too and you can walk to the big nightlife beach bars from the hostel itself); Student & Traveller’s Inn in Athens is right in the Plaka district (downtown) and close to Acropolis, etc. o Attractions: MUST GO TO SANTORINI → specifically Fira and Oia (towns on the island of Santorini). There is a hike from Fira town to Oia that is like 9 km and an amazing experience. Rent ATVs on any island (Santorini or Mykonos are most popular) to drive around. Quieter beaches are Perissa/Kamari on the south side of the island. In Athens walk through Monastiraki and Plaka districts, see Acropolis and Acropolis museum o Bars: A for Athens rooftop bar in Athens, Super Paradise beach bar in Mykonos

I spent a summer studying neuropharmacology in Athens by the week, and on the Greek islands by the weekend. My favorite places to visit were Santorini. I guess I am a romantic. I had the ideal time there going cliff diving, racing donkeys with two of my colleagues up the steep Santorini mountains (one of them cried, sorry :P), riding a vespa with a couchsurfer down the Oia mountains at 4am and taking a sailboat to watch the Oia sunset, hike volcanos and return to the city to dance and drink the night away. In mykonos, I had a blast meeting Italian sailors at Benny Benassi's birthday party event as he DJ'd at Cavo Paradiso. Let's say I got on a vespa again, paroused through the whole city, and as I returned back to Athens to return to classes lost one colleague on the way in Mykonos. Of course she made it back the next day, but it was a memory to last a lifetime. :)

Why not hop onto another island and explore while in Santorini as it's a a great connection hub, there are other beautiful islands to see such as Mykonos, Ios, Folegandros, Naxos and Anafi. I've been privileged to visit both Mykonos and Ios. These are the 5 best Greek islands close to Santorini with Ferry as little as €12.50 via Lets Ferry for convenience and peace of mind.

You could visit Greece every summer and never discover it all. Each island is unique in its feel and architecture. The laid back Greek vibe and welcoming hospitality, mixed with its unmatched nautral beauty and ancient moneuments, make it one of the most popular destnations in the world.

If you can travel outside of July and August, you’ll be amazed at how far your money will go in the Greek islands. We stayed in a nice guest house for $28 USD per night in Santorini.

Everything from the islands of Rhodes, Mykonos and Santorini to the bustling touristy city of Athens, Greece offers beaches on beaches and the classic coastline view of white homes against electric blue waters. Perfect for a romantic honeymoon or a girls trip.

You can't visit Greece without trying Tzatziki. Enjoy this refreshing app with some fresh-baked pita bread. For cheese lovers, try Saganaki. I won't spoil the experience for you here, so try it for yourself - OPA!

A country full of ancient history, this place has the most beautiful beaches and will give you that small town feel where tourists make up most of the population.

Amazing food, weather, history, and views. Not the biggest fan of Athens, but the rest of Greece is to die for. Travel from island to island and soke in the sun.
