The final city of Italy! Venice (soon to be the next Atlantis) took my breath away by its quaintness and history. I went on a gondola ride and did as the locals do: drank prosecco and bellinis all day. On the final night, we went wine tasting at a family owned winery outside of the city. The family barely spoke english, but they treated us like family and made us incredible pasta and bruschetta to eat while we drank their wine.

I visited it in each season. Enjoying it during the Carnival or during the Film Festival would be an unforgettable experience.

There is nothing quite like a walk at night through the dark canals of Venice. This city is flooding with history and is a memorable destination for anyone traveling to Italy.

A must-see, even though it may not be the most budget-friendly. Looks straight out of a movie.

I recommend a gondola ride as it is the best experience to enjoy with family/friends the peaceful athmosphere of the canals. A gondola holds up to 6 people and a ride costs €80.

Venice is worth it even with the crowds and tourists. There is nowhere else like Venice in the world, so the uniqueness alone makes it worth it. Venice is full of historic palaces and churches, so it’s not all just gondola rides and Murano glass.

Venice is a must see city in Italy for obvious reasons, it is one of the most mused at and historically dense areas in the world. When you go, I suggest staying for a few days because there is a lot more to see than just St Marks Square & Saint Marks Basilica. You will find the best Italian food and the kindest Venetians if you travel off the beaten path and get lost in the maze of canals and alleys that cover the entire city. Carve out an entire day of your itinerary to wander away from the crowds and just walk wherever the alleys take you, I promise you will get lost and I promise you will be okay with it.

Venice is a classic on a bucket list, and it's totally worth visiting. The floating city is a truly a gem and like nothing else you will see around the world. The main reason you should visit is because Venice has been slowly deteriorating for years because of tourism and rising sea levels. Venice might not be around for future generations so pay it a visit before it's too late.

Everybody heard about Venice, but not everybody found the Liberia Acqua Alta Di Frizzo Luigi and it definitely worth to visit. It’s a bookstore which is pretty much made out of books. Besides this buy a day transfer ticket (around 10 euro) and discover Murano and Burano island.

A trip to Italy isn’t complete without a visit to Venice. Despite what is commonly heard, Venice does have roads. And many lovely squares. However, the roads are extremely narrow and for pedestrians only. I visited during the off-season and still found myself getting frustrated with the crowds, so keep this in mind if you choose to visit during the warmer months when the city is at its peak. The main form of transportation around Venice is via water taxi- very expensive, but worth the ride. If you opt to walk around Venice instead, be sure to carry a map with you- Venice is EXTREMELY easy to get lost in and is actually quite confusing. However, every canal stems from the Grand Canal, so that helps. As for gondola rides, they cost around 80 euro and last about 20-30 minutes long. Since they are a famous tourist attraction, they are indeed overpriced, but still worth the experience; however, the gondolier will not sing to you… unfortunately. I found the canals and the city itself to be quite clean and the seafood dishes that I tried were incredible. I only spent one day in Venice, but I recommend staying for 2-3 days. You can see the city of Venice in only a day, but the surrounding islands need more time. The beautiful, colorful islands such as Burano and Murano are accessible via ferry from the city and are renowned for their long tradition of glass-making.

There's nothing inside or outside of LA quite like the Venice Boardwalk, on which you'll find a very diverse group of street performers, hippies, and other kooky people who love hanging out in one of LA's beachside neighborhoods.

Piazza San Marco is breathtakingly beautiful, and the perfect place to begin exploring the city of canals. A visit during the Venice Biennial is a must for art lovers.

Picturesque, charming, romantic. Getting lost in the city of bridges is the way to visit it. It doesn't cost a thing to just take long walks on this maze-island, while enjoying some fresh pasta on-the-go. The sound of gondoliers singing in the background will mix perfectly in the scene.

A truly unique city. One of the most amazing experiences of being in Venice, apart from getting lost in the myriad of narrow streets and lanes, is to stop into the very cheap and delicious chichetti bars dotted along the canals.

One of the most beautiful and well-known Italian cities. The name speaks for itself. As an Italian I suggest you visit it before any other city. Piazza San Marco, La Basilica, La Biennale, Punta della Dogana, Olivetti Shop, Querini Stampalia Foundation, The Scarpa Biennale Ticket Office, The Church of the Holy Trinity

There is no other place on Earth quite like Venice. The Grand Canal, the maze of tiny streets and canals all intertwined, and Piazza San Marco are only a few of the highlights. We loved exploring the nearby islands of Burano and Murano where they made gorgeous items out of hand blown glass, and the brightly colored buildings in Burano take your breath away.

City on the waves, city on water, Venice never fails to delight. Long romantic walks holding the slice of best Italian pizza, Boat ride to sorrounding towns of Burano and Murano, or just loitering around in San Marco Square watching perfect Sunsets painting the sky red will provide you with Venezian pleasure which no other city can provide.

The carnival in Venice is suspended between past and present and includes lots of celebrations like the eagle flight and the flight of the angel! Creating masks is indeed an art in Venice, a tradition dating back hundreds of years. I recommend a visit to enjoy the atmosphere, the beautiful costumes and masks.
