This year, anglers of all ages and experience levels are invited to catch fish, fun, and prizes at the Mount Pleasant Pier’s Cast Off Fishing Tournament series. The Mount Pleasant Pier will offer four tournaments this year, on May 7th, June 4th, Sept. 3rd and Oct. 15th.

This is a beautiful spot that I think mostly locals know about - the Mount Pleasant Pier which extends out into the harbor from Mount Pleasant Memorial Park right underneath the imposing Ravenel Bridge. Long pier with amazing panoramic views that can be used for fishing, walking, running or just sitting on the benches and enjoying the sunset. There’s a little kiosk that is open until 5pm and sells sandwiches, sodas and beers 🍺 - the last of which is my recommendation for topping off the Low Country sunset with the Holy City’s church spires as background! Great views of the Aircraft Carrier too.
