Built by the Venetians so Kotor is like a little Venice. It is a walled city and is fully pedestrian.

An easy day trip from Dubrovnik, Kotor is a much smaller and less crowded version of Dubrovnik. It has its own interesting history. And now, cats roam freely throughout the city. Spend the time and visit.

I am constantly surprised by how many people I meet that don't even know that Montenegro is a country! This adorable town is located right on the water, complete with tiny alleyways and cobblestone streets!

A gruelling climb in the heat, but worth it for the view at the top.

A coastal town in Montenegro, surrounded by limestone cliffs and filled with old historical buildings. Right next to the town you can climb up on the edge of the mountain to th eold castle ruins and overlook the whole bay of Kotor. During summer you can see some massive cruise ships at the port. The contrast between the old and new is amazing to look at.

An incredibly old historic town, closely surrounded by the most beautiful mountains. Make sure to climb the San Giovanni Fortress to see breathtaking views of the bay.

This is a stunning town, where the lake meets the mountains, my favourite landscape. The views from the mountains are breath taking, and the town reminds me of Croatia but without the massive amont of people. There are also loads of stray cats wondering around all the time.

This hidden gem of a coastal city features tons of great hikes and walks within striking distance. Don't miss the trail up to the Sveti Ivan Fortress, which offers a world-class view of the Old City and the bay below. Bring treats to feet the wild yet friendly cats! Looking for something a little more challenging? Try the Ladder of Kotor, which boasts over 70 switchbacks!
