Our first place we travelled together! Budapest is a great European city with plentiful architecture and museums. It is a great alternative to pricier Western Europe countries.

A trip to budapest is an entirely different type of holiday. Walk through the stunning Fishermans Bastion and admire the city. Visit the Budapest Parliament, an iconic example of gothic architecture. Drink in the many ruin bars of the city and soak in the variety of thermal baths. A favourite of mine, thoughh crowded is Gellert Baths.

This was one of those cities that exceeded my expectations. I never thought of Budapest being a place I would fall in love, but nonetheless, I did. The nightlife is bustling with underground bars and welcoming people. The architecture of the city is picture worthy everywhere you go.

Budapest is the capital of Hungary and is a mix of old and new. This historical city is full of beautiful sites and delicious restaurants to fit every budget. As a solo traveler, I found Budapest very easy to navigate by metro and foot. I took the free walking tour as well as the metro around the city. Read more on my recommendations of beautiful Budapest!

Relaxing: With a name like the City of Baths its no wonder Budapest in one of the most relaxing places to visit. Spend your days relaxing it up in one of the many thermal spas and hot springs Budapest has to offer.

The banks of the Danube, shop windows, outdoor cafes and lively life recall the French capital. But its majestic monuments and beautiful spas distinguish it from every other city.

I understand now why the Széchenyi and Gellért thermal baths are world renowned!! You have to go the Sparty - (Spa + Party) and live the true Budapest experience in these historical spas that turn to a floating dancefloor.

Formerly 2 separate cities, Buda and Pest, the two sides offer so much contrast to explore, Buda with lots of history and Pest being the more modern side. Such an interesting contrast and so fun to explore!

From amazing nightlife to fascinating culture, Budapest has everything I love in a travel destination. I did not expect to love Budapest as much as I do, and now I can't wait to go back. My perfect day in Budapest starts with a trip to one of the many thermal baths and ends with a night out at the ruin bars!

The city that never sleeps, and I mean it. Visit one of Budapest's many ruin bars, then recover in the turkish baths for the day, jumping in and out of different pools of water and detoxing in the saunas.

There is fascinating history in Budapest. Split by the Danube River, the ancient cities of Buda and Pest united in 1873 to form what is now the capital city of Hungary.

OMG!!! Buda and pest are two totally different places, did you know that? Well okay, the same city but different sides of the river and they were once separate cities. The dive bars here are so exciting, the food is so cheap yet so incredibly good, the city is easy to walk or you can take the awesome tram/metro system instead. This is a must visit place with your friends rather than visiting here with your family. Everyone that I know that visited here LOVED it. 10/10 go see it for yourself”
