One of my all time favorite cities in the US. When you visit you will understand why they call it the "Las Vegas of the South". There is live music at every bar, an array of food to choose from, and the nicest people you will ever encounter.

Some of your favorite foods to feast on are actually from the Volunteer State. visit isn’t complete until you sample some of its classic dishes. Enjoy the state’s big-hearted hospitality as you indulge in treats ranging from the barbecue and soul food in Memphis to the folksy cooking of the Appalachians. The iconic foods are simple, spicy, sweet and lightning hot.

One day in Nashville: A good day could be brunch at Jackson's (I go here every time I come back, no fail) or the famous Pancake Pantry. Then hit up Posh/Hillsboro stores. Walk through Vandy campus and on to Centennial Park. Right by the park are Calypso Cafe (healthy Caribbean food) and Rotiers (serious burger hole in the wall). Then head downtown to the CM Hall of fame. At night, hit up Lime, Virago, or Bound'ry for dinner, a drink at Patterson House, then go to Tin Roof and Dan McGuinnes for live music (demonbreun).

If a second day in Nashville: Go to the Frist, see City Hall, LP Stadium across the river (wouldn't recommend crossing, not much over there). Have some Jim & Nicks BBq for lunch, then to Grand Ol Opry for the afternoon. Rumours, Flyte, or Sambuca for dinner, and do the downtown bar loop of Rippy's, Paradise Park, the Stage, and end with late night Lonnie's karaoke. That loop is a must see!!

When I was in Nashville, we decided to go to the Goo Goo Cluster store. I also had the opportunity to make my own delicious concoction. What is a Goo Goo Cluster? It's arguably the first candy bar ever made. However, they manufacture them only in Nashville and you can't just get them anywhere. In fact, there are only three businesses in the Capital Region where you can get these sweet treats. These aren't exactly the stores you would think you could find them in. Cracker Barrel, Hobby Lobby, and the Tractor Supply Company!
