DID YOU KNOW? After the Governor of South Carolina ended the mask mandate earlier this week, the Charleston city Council has made masks a suggestion rather than a requirement.

KNOW THIS: Most city offices will be closed on Monday, June 21st in observance of Juneteenth. All recreation buildings will be on a normal schedule. Trash pick up for the peninsula, inner West Ashley, and James Island will run on a one day delay schedule. Keep in mind with the storm approaching to keep your trash cans secure until it’s necessary to move them to the curb.

KNOW THIS: The Charleston city Council says the city will be moving forward with a climate focused sustainability plan. This includes a five-year strategy to reduce carbon pollution with a focus on buildings, transportation, and waste. City officials say the plan provides a path to reduce emissions to net zero by 2050.
