When someone says Ireland, Dublin comes to the majority of minds. But what if I told you there was a much more beautiful and much cheaper option located 30 minutes and $6 away on the sea? Howth is a solo traveler haven. For such a small fishing village, there is quite a lot to due. In the summer, hike around the "island" and take a plunge in the ocean off of jump rock. During the winter, enjoy the christmas decorations lining the main street and have mulled wine in any of the pubs. You might just get seranded by carollers from Saint Mary's Church.

Easily my favorite day trip out of Dublin. Walk along the edge of the Celtic Sea and enjoy the views of harbor seals and a light house. Finish your hike with some fish and chips in the town of Howth.
