Although you will see the replicas of the David in Piazza Michelangelo and Piazza della Signoria, you still need to see the original! He stands 17 feet tall and I promise he is more beautiful than the replicas. It is absolutely mind blowing.

When you get into the building, head straight for the statue of David by heading left through a door, and past more statues – the other works in here are utterly beautiful, but the sooner you get to David the better, especially if you were one of the first in the queue. With a bit of luck, you’ll have the area relatively free of people in order for you to get a truly stunning shot of the city’s most famous work of art.
