Best Of Europe
Posted almost 5 years ago
I am sure that most of you know that I am a Europhile! I love Europe, the food, people and everything about it. So finding Best of Europe to fulfil my Europhile needs was wonderul! Not only does this place serve made to order sandwiches both Euro and American inspired, they also have a little market with European food items. While here, I ordered the Parisian sandwich and it was good. It filled with brie and on the spot bladed ham, served in a baguette style roll. My friends ordered a caprese open sandwich and currywurst! When I saw my friend's dish I said "Oh my god, they have currywurst here?" I should have ordered that but I was pretty happy with my choice. As for the European food selection it is small but if you want items to make spätzle, currywurst or beans for your UK or Irish breakfast they will have it here. They also have a nice selection of British sweets, spices and refrigerated items. While here, I picked up a few items that I loved when I was in Europe. Such as a Mozart ball that I had in Austria, Hungarian Paprika that I tried on dishes in Budapest and Heinz beans for a good old UK breakfast! I also picked a little bar of Niederegger Marzipan which is from Lubek, Germany. I ate at Niederegger in Lubek and the marzipan is pretty solid. The prices are good for imports and the service is very friendly. You can order your sandwiches to go but there is also a small amount of seating inside and out. Enjoy!
