Visiting the Batu Caves was one of the highlights of my Malaysia trip - so much so that I hope to make it back one day! The stairs leading up to the temple have recently undergone an insta-worthy makeover (check it out on the gram) so it looks even more spectacular! All the pretty colours should surely distract you from the fact there are over 200 steps to get to the top....definitely a tough one, but oh so worth it.

Batu Caves is a must for anyone visiting Kuala Lumpur. It is a short metro journey outside of town, and the views are incredible here! There is a large golden statue of a hindu god at the front and caves to explore. Make sure to get here early as it can get really busy, and beware of the food stealing macaques!

Staircases were painted rainbow hues of colours, giant and majestic golden statue of Lord Murugan beside the stairs.

If you are in Kuala Lumpur Batu caves are must see. Amazing temple in a cave and it truly worths those stairs you have to climb to get there.
