Join us for a celebration of art and nature in our private event space, Henrietta's with MacArthur award-winner & South Carolina author, poet, ornithologist, and hunter-conservationist - Dr. J. Drew Lanham. Gather around a fire to listen to the author’s “head and heart” approach to the Southeastern birds featured in John James Audubon’s The Birds of America. Libations and lite bites will complement this event. The Dewberry event coincides with the spotlight exhibition: J. Drew Lanham : A Feel Guide to John James Audubon’s The Birds of America (1827-1830), Volume 1 which runs February 17-April 28, 2023 at The Charleston Museum.

💡DYK: Yesterday the City of Charleston unveiled a historical market for the Dewberry Hotel, formerly known as the L. Mendel Rivers Federal building. The building was the first major federal project completed in SC after WW2. The building was named after a Berkeley County native who served 29 years in the House of Representatives and brought military projects to Charleston. The building was vacant from 1999 to 2016, when it was renovated and reopened

Incredibly well designed hotel with impeccable service to boot. Stunning bar as well complete with excellent cocktail menu. As a former New Yorker, this place is the closest it comes to a chic hotel bar and great late night snacks. Their restaurant is great but we generally come here for the awesome cocktails and people watching. Cheers!
