Al Azhar Park
Gorgeous park in the middle of Cairo. Lovely landscaped gardens and there are beatufiul views of the city. It is a peaceful escape from the city. And one of the only places that charges the same entrance fee for locals and foreigners! 20LE or ~$1.50 USD

Salah El Din Al Ayouby Citadel
The highest point of Cairo and the best view of the city. On a clear day, you can even see out to the Pyramids. The beautiful Mosque of Muhammad Ali is located here as well.

Mosque of Muhammad Ali
One of the most stunning mosques in Cairo. It was influenced by Turkey's Blue Mosque. Make sure to avoid visiting on Fridays and Saturdays as it will be very crowded.

The Great Pyramid of Giza
A visit to the Pyramids is clearly a must when you're in Cairo. It's about a 20 minute drive from the City Center. There are several ways to get there, but I would recommend hiring a driver and a guide in advance. It usually costs as little as $20 per person.

Al Moez Ldin Allah Al Fatmi
Jump into the past in Old Cairo and wander down the cobblestones of Al Muizz Street. This is also in Islamic Cairo and there are many beautiful mosques in the area.

Khan el-Khalili
Check out Egypt's oldest bazaar and test out your haggling skills. Khan il Khalili was established in the middle ages and still bustling even today. Make sure to go in the evening, when it's busiest, and the streets are lit up with lamps and lanterns.

Spend a lazy afternoon walking down the Nile Cornish and take a felucca ride on the Nile River. Across the street from The Four Seasons, there is a dock that will take you on a private boat ride for an hour for 100-150LE about $5-$8USD.

Egyptian Museum Cairo
See some of the most valuable artifacts in Egyptian history all under one roof. The Egyptian Museum is most known for housing King Tut's golden treasures buried with him in his Tomb. It's helpful to have a guide here since the artifacts are not labeled and it will be difficult to know the significance of each piece.
