Eden Coffee
Alright who would have thought going to a cafe for a tea would end up like this? Out of our window at our hostel we saw a really cute multiple floor cafe with fun lights and beautiful plants hanging everywhere. We were in need of a refreshing drink so we headed over with plans to get some tea or juice! We saw a “tea” called drunk princess and naturally were intrigued. As our server returned with these concoctions we were quite surprised. For roughly 3 dollars each we were given these drinks that turned out very refreshing! Eden coffee house is so beautiful every turn you make! With many floors of unique rooms and seating, a terrace that overlooks the Cathedral and a large rooftop with views of the whole city. This place was the perfect stop to a busy day! So happy we came in!

vang vieng rock backpacker hostel
We took a bus from Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng and were so happy to find that the bus drop off was actually at our Hostel. This made for a very nice start to our visit. As soon as we walked into the lobby we were greeted by Micheal and checked right in! He was so wonderful and such a great help throughout our visit. He not only checked us in but got us set up for a tubing party the next day, our bus scheduled to leave to Vientiane in two days time and got our passport applications for Vietnam set up. This allowed us to go enjoy ourselves immediately! The rooms and bathrooms are quite clean, the WiFi works great and all around we loved the accommodation. Unfortunately you had to pay for water, but breakfast was included and there was also a bar and food for purchase at the hostel! Not sure if this is all the time but in the lobby at 7pm there was free whiskey for a bout a half hour! This was cool because it brought everyone together to make new friends and all head out to the bars together that night. The location as well was perfect. A very short walk to my favorite bar In Laos that I recently posted about, Smile beach Bar, and all sounded by many good restaurants and all of the best nightlife! For the tubing party, a tuk tuk picked us up around 11:30am and everything was handled great! If you’re staying in Vang Vieng this is the place to be!

The Local Restaurant & Bars
There is much to see while in Vientiane but due to our Vietnam visas taking much longer then planned it cut our visit a bit short. After exploring some monuments and the side streets we headed towards the Vietnam Embassy only to find they were closed for lunch. Naturally, we decided we should eat as well. Across the street we found a fun looking restaurant called The Local. We headed inside and instantly loved the look of the place, a little too quite for our taste but it was nice to take a breather and relax with what a busy day we were having. Our server was great and the food was as well! The pieces were reasonable and service was quick! We were thankful for the free clean water as well. We shared the teriyaki chicken and rice dish along with French fries. Just a fun little spot we had found but definitely worth sharing! Enjoy!
