You cannot be in Guatemala and not go to Tikal mayan ruins! To go to the famous Tika mayan ruins, you'll be better off staying in Flores and taking a day trip to Tiak. Costs about $60pp for a round trip. The tickets into Tikal are $25. Make sure to carry snacks as the grounds are expansive and the food options are limited.

This place is accessible using uber from Guatemala city. You can opt to stay there which is nice as you'll be able to catch the sunsets and the sunrises which are beautiful with the ancient Antigua buildings
