Burano
I recommend to visit Burano as it’s about 45 minutes away from Venice and get there with the number 12 vaporetto. You can see the beautiful colourful houses of the fisherman’s and relax as it is less crowded than Venice and see the Oblique bell tower.

Venice
I recommend a gondola ride as it is the best experience to enjoy with family/friends the peaceful athmosphere of the canals. A gondola holds up to 6 people and a ride costs €80.

Lido di Venezia
The lido island has plenty of sandy beaches where you can find a mix of tourists and locals. The island is also home of the Venice international film festival held annually and the screenings are taken place on the historic Palazzo del Cinema.

Saint Mark's Basilica
The St Mark’s Basilica was built in the 9th century and is one of the best known examples of Italo Byzantine architecture with the gold mosaics and the shape of the church. It lies in the eastern end of the Piazza San Marco and it deserves a visit when you stop in Venice!

Peggy Guggenheim Collection
The Peggy Guggenheim collection is located in Peggy Guggenheim’s former home Palazzo Venier dei Leoni on the Canal Grande. The museum presents her personal collections of European and American art of the first half of the 20th century. I recommend to check out as well the sculpture garden very inspiring and beautiful.
