Le Farfalle

I’ve written about how good the Italian food is at this place in other posts so I won’t rehash here... but I will tell you that the daily lunch special (Mon-Sat) has got to be one of, if not the best in town. For $12 you get their special handmade pasta of the day, a fresh side salad and a piece of perfectly buttered, sliced and toasted garlic bread. The pasta special changes daily and every week’s lineup is different. The salad changes weekly. I don’t even look at the menu anymore for lunch, I just order the special and it has never disappointed.

Lewis Barbecue

Monday meal deal at the best brisket joint anywhere outside Austin = “El Sancho Loco” + side + tall drink for $9.99! For the uninitiated, the sandwich combines 3 of their best meats - sliced “Hot Guts” sausage as the base, pulled pork in the middle and chopped “fatty” brisket on top with pickled onions to cap it off. Don’t forget to slather in either their tradition ‘cue sauce or, my favorite, the vinegar-based sauce.
