Rosemary's
Great Italian spot in Greenwich Village. The carbonara pasta, citrus salad, Brussels sprouts, prosciutto di Parma and cape ese focaccia are the best things on the menu. The restaurants‘ arose is pretty good. During Christmas, it’s an experience. The place is lovely decorated with florals, the happy hour/bar area is vibrant and they have a small garden on the second floor where they grow their own vegetables that you often see in the menu, which changes seasonally.

Shelter
Great spot for winter gatherings. Get a seat by the fire, there’s good music, share pizzas, empanadas, salads and steaks and you’ll have a wonderful winter afternoon.

Barbounia
Great Mediterranean spot. Decor is cozy and lively. I usually share the branding or chicken with one or two people and get the cauliflower and mezze to share as well. Healthy, delicious and good vibes.

Bar Jamon
Love going here for late night bites and wine. Small place but cozy. It’s very N.Y. and the tapas are fantastic. If it’s full, get a drink at a bar and search for spots, they open up pretty fast.

Otto Enoteca Pizzeria
Great casual Italian spot in the village. If you go with kids, this is your place. It’s pretty loud so you won’t be the only one with loud guests! The pizzas and carbonara pastas are great. Wine selection is pretty good. As far as appetizers go, get the lentils.

Bar Centrale
Restaurant and bar inside a brownstone apartment in midtown close to where all the broadway shows take place. Make sure to get a reservation as they won’t let you in if there’s not a chair for you. The food is great and the ambiance is very N.Y. don’t be surprised if you see Keri Russel, Anderson Cooper, and Kevin Costner all in one night.

Big open French bistro. The steak frites and filet mignon are fantastic. Pair them with a nice glass of red wine and you’ll be ready to walk it off around the west village after.

ABC Kitchen
Go for the ambiance, stay for the food and cocktails. In the heart of Union Square, close to major subways. The glazed doughnuts and cheddar biscuits are great to share during brunch. Eggs Benedict if you’re brunching. Cured meats and cheeses, kale salad and raviolis if you’re lunching or dining. One of my favorite spots in NYC.

Get the lobster Mac and cheese as a late night with rose before you dance the night away. Swanky, hidden lower east side gem!

San Marzano
One of the hidden gems in the East Village, home made pastas for $10, the pappardelle wild boar ragú is my favorite dish. The meatballs, burratta and prosciutto, and eggplant parm are great appetizers. The tiramisu is amazing. If you go for brunch get the sangria pitcher!

Lafayette
Go for brunch or dinner. For brunch, the Croque madame sandwich and mimosas are my top choices for brunch. The steak frites and roasted chicken are main meals for dinner. Super cute French bistro, all the staff wears suspenders, try to get a seat on the couches, you won’t want to leave, the pastries and desserts are great and when the weather is nice, get a table outside. You can always get a reservation, which’s is hard for good NYC dining experiences.

Great ropa vieja and mojitos. The plantains and brunch specials are great. You will leave full and a tad typist. There’s a man on the corner making cigars and the music is great.

Pearl Oyster Bar
May I dare to say that these are the best lobster rolls in the city. I consider myself a lobster roll expert and these ones are creamy, delicious and come with shoe string fries. They’re closed on Sundays but must try if you love lobster rolls as much as I do!

Panna II Garden
The Indian food is good, go for the experience. It’s a tiny place full of lights and the naan and chicken tikka masala are top rated. Don’t bother making a reservation because they don’t honor that but it’s worth going and checking it out. I had a fun time.

Gnoccheria by Luzzo’s
Everyone is a fan of the tri gnocchi option, which makes sense if you’re a first timer but personally I would start with the burratta and prosciutto appetizer, follow with the four cheese gnocchi and end your feast with the glorious tiramisu. If you’re a Nutella fan though, get the gnocchis with Nutella for dessert, my friends love it!

Tavern On the Green
Restaurant in the muddle is Central Park and all it’s glory. It’s a very touristy place, a bit pricey but the food is great. If you’re thinking of hosting a classy group for brunch, you can do preset menus and if you’re treating your friend for a bridal shower this spot is perfect for it.
