Kailua-Kona
Because I usually only have 24 hours in Hawaii, I tend to wake up super early to make the most of every minute. This time though, I was definitely on island time! I slept in and it was glorious! My friend and I took a drive through the lava fields to reach a picturesque, quiet beach and it was so nice to just relax in the hammock and take a dip in the ocean. After a few hours relaxing at the stunning beach, we rushed back to find a perfect place to watch the sunset. And while all sunsets in Hawaii are beautiful, I feel as though this night it was particularly spectacular (just for me of course!)

Lava Lava Beach Club
After watching the sky turn all the colors of the rainbow, it was time for dinner (and drinks) at Lava Lava Beach Club. It’s such a cool restaurant right on the beach complete with tiki torches and live music! I had the edamame and the standing Ahi nachos and both were unreal! The real treat though was the Lava Lava Flow on the rocks! Strawberries, banana, coconut cream and Flora De Caña rum… ummm yes please!

Mahina Pizza
On the second day, again I just took it easy and you know what, it was delightful! Slept in, had breakfast and walked around all the cute little shops, including of course, my favourite, Mahina. I laid by the pool, relaxed some more, illegally took a photo in a waterfall… you know… the usual!
