Pangong Tso
A visit to Ladakh is incomplete if you dont witness this sparkling majestic blue Pangong Lake situated at a height of about 4350 metres (14270 ft). This lake is about 134 km long and extends from India to China wherein approximately 60% of it lies in China. A unique feature of this lake is that it doesnt remain blue throughout the day and it keeps on changing colors from azure to light blue to green and grey too!!!

Shanti Stupa
This white domed Buddhist shrine called Shanti Stupa located at an altitude of 3609 metres is the greatest attraction in Leh. It was built by Japanese Buddhist Bhikshu, Gyomyo Namakaru to promote world peace between the people of Japan and Ladakh. Best time to visit is during sunset when the entire city is illuminated by golden colors and it is an enchanting view once can never forget.

Diskit Gompa
Standing 106 feet (32 metres) tall, this statue of Jampa (Maitreya) Buddha can be spotted from a distance when you enter Diskit region in Nubhra Valley. This impressive statue perched atop a hillock faces the Shyok River towards Pakistan and was constructed in 2006 to ensure protection of Diskit Village, prevention of further war with Pakistan and to promote world peace. This is the largest Buddha statue in the Ladakh region

Kargil War Memorial
Kargil War Memorial located on the Srinagar-Leh National Highway is a war memorial built by the Indian Army to commemorate the Indian soldiers and officers who gave their lives during the 1999 Kargil war between India and Pakistan. Kargil Vijay Diwas meaning Kargil Victory Day is celebrated on 26th July every year. This memorial is open everyday from 7 am to 7 pm and the entry is free on producing your identification proof such as Aadhar card for Indian National and Passport for Foreign Nationals. A short documentary titled "Kargil - Operation Vijay" is played in the audio visual room every 20 minutes which costs Rs. 50 per head. It is definitely worthwhile watching this documentary as a tribute to all our heroes.

This beach named Serenity beach also called Kottakuppam will enthrall you. We decided to wake up in the wee hours and ride along to this pristine golden sand beach situated around 5 KMS from the main town of Pondicherry and never regretted our decision

Dont forget to visit this magnificient structure called MatriMandir (meaning Temple of the Mother) located at the centre of Auroville in Pondicherry. We took a bike ride to Auroville in order to witness this golden sphere which stood amidst the open area marked as a symbol of peace.
