Belfast
This trip in itself deserves an entire blog. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting much out of this trip. I knew we would see some cool things but I wasn’t bouncing off the walls, excited to go. But, little did I know….

The Rolling Donut
t was one of the best donuts I’ve ever had (I still have yet to go to the Galway market on the weekends. I hear there a donut man who makes the worlds greatest donuts. I can be the judge of that later)

The Crown Liquor Saloon
We went to a pub/restaurant called The Crown, which we later found out used to be the most bombed pub in Belfast (….yikes).

Titanic Belfast
DISCLAIMER: I LOVE THE MOVIE TITANIC. EVERYTHING ABOUT IT. It’s so impactful and emotional that upon arriving to the actual museum, I got very emotional at the realization that this was actually reality. The museum was comprised of nine exhibits, chronologically telling the tragic story of how the Titanic came to be, what life inside the Titanic was like, and the aftermath of the tragic sinking of the ship.

Peace Wall Belfast
As unreal as this may seem in today’s age, this large wall has separated the two feuding communities in Belfast for decades. It is decorated with colorful graffiti to symbolize hope and optimism in times of darkness. It is often signed by visitors as a symbol reinforcing that idea of love.

Giant's Causeway
We started our van tour to giants causeway around 9:30. Again, like most tours, we do little photo op stops along the way. The first one was to a 13th century castle that was built by the water in Belfast (Sadly, I can’t remember the name). We couldn’t go inside, so what better thing to do then to climb the rocks surrounding it by the water and sit on it’s ledge!? Sitting there on the ledge of the castle, staring out at the ocean gave me such overwhelming peace. I could’ve sat there all day and been content with my entire life.

National Trust Carrick-a-Rede
Later, we stopped at a popular tourist sight called Carrick-a-Rede Bridge. Realistically, the act of walking across the rope bridge isn’t that spectacular. But, the views you get to see while you wait to cross are priceless.
