Chez Gladines
44 Boulevard Saint-Germain, wonderful basque restaurant that has affordable and delicious food in central paris. Not touristy on most days, definitely recommend ordering the salads - they’re hard to finish. The wines are really good.

Comptoir du Panthéon
formerly the best place for steak tartare in Paris. Last time I was there (May 2017) it looked closed / under construction. Still listed as open on google so not sure what’s going on.

A Casaluna
expensive corsican restaurant near the louvre. Awesome atmosphere, the ice cream desserts were amazing, as was the steak tartare. There are sometimes specials online where you can book and get 40% off all dishes.

L'Escargot Montorgueil
cool bar near the buttes chaumont park. Pub style place with cool people - we went there with a big group of greeks and other europeans that we met on the main slope of the park overlooking the columned tower on the rock.

Casanova Sarl
Good tunisian food as you walk southeast on boulevard de belleville from the belleville metro stop (this is near les piaules). Casanova Sarl is my favorite place, they have a grill out front during ramadan where you can buy galettes around sunset (get the one with meat and onions and eat them asap after they’re cooked), I also recommend the home-made citronade from there or any of the other tunisian places on that row. The olives from the grocery across the street (called l’épicerie) are top notch imported, the closest I’ve found to moroccan olives outside of morocco, I recommend tasting them and finding the ones you like.
