La Porchetta Pollo Bar
italian place in soho, great food and not at all expensive given the location. I don’t like the pizza too much but the bucatini ala sicilliana is amazing. Recommend for dinner any night of the week - have to go early to get a table without a reservation on weekends.

Mercato Metropolitano
lots of food shops, places to sit outside and drinks. Really chill spot to spend a sunday afternoon. This is a little out of the way but has the best vibe of any place its size in London. They opened relatively recently but are doing extremely well and the food just keeps getting better. I recommend the stand selling argentinian steaks, the pizza, the italian place next to the back area with expensive wine, and the raclette.

Dishoom
there are a few of these in London but the Shoreditch one is my favorite (http://www.dishoom.com/shoreditch/). Kitschy Indian food and interesting cocktails, good soundtrack.

Brick Lane
lots of vintage shops, food stalls, etc. Definitely worth a trip to try bagels from one of the two spots close to Bethnal Green Rd: Beigel Bake or Beigel Shop.

Mamuśka! Polish Kitchen and Bar
polish restaurant and bar in elephant and castle - home-style and inexpensive polish food, imported beers. Very cheap and cafeteria-like but good.

Babaji Pide
Turkish restaurant with “relatively authentic food” according to my Turkish friends. Coffee and pide are both really good.

Casa Malevo
Argentinian steak restaurant with imported meat, wine, and other foods. Fairly expensive but one of the best meals I’ve had in London

sketch
Typical tourist spot but it is one of those London staples that everyone wants to say they have been to. It is very expensive, but the décor is what draws people in.

Oblix
expensive drinks with a beautiful view at the top of the shard. Recommend coming here for the view and one round of drinks. Good date spot, go early to get a spot by the window.

Ossie's Jerk Chicken
209 Walworth Rd, London SE17 1RL, UK is awesome - their jerk chicken is delicious, and the jamaican woman who runs the place makes the best pineapple juice punch (and won’t say what’s in it).

Maltby Street Market
better food / drink options than borough market, smaller and maybe less touristy? There’s also nice stuff here even when the market isn’t happening.

Borough Market
come here on the weekends and try the food stands (yes this is the place that was attacked in 2017 but don’t let that stop you from enjoying it). My favorites stands are the one selling all vegetarian indian food and the one with british meat pies. Get the mothership if you’re going to do the meat pies, all the ones I’ve tried have been great.
