Three Dots and a Dash
This is a trendy, upscale tiki lounge speakesy in the city! Do think about going here without a reservation because you will be limited to the bar seating which is rarely ever not packed. This place opens at 4 and the bar seating is full by 4:10. The food is incredible but the cocktails steal the show. The cocktails are an experience and everyone needs to order some to their table. Locals and visitors both love this place and the decorations through out the bar are so well thought out and enjoyable to look at.

Whiskey Business
This place is one of my favorites because of it's rooftop bar. It's fun in the summer, but I particularly like it in the winter because they bring out the see through heated igloos that you can rent out. Those are so much fun for celebrations or just a good night out with you and your friends. There are a ton of interactive social games as well, so the vibes and atmosphere are always great!

LondonHouse Chicago, Curio Collection by Hilton
This is one of my favorite rooftop bars in the city. It isn't exactly a hidden gem because everyone knows about it, but I would tell anyone that asked me what to do in Chicago to go here. The Londonhouse has some of the best views in the city of the river and surrounding skyscrapers. The drinks are on the pricer side, but you are paying for the view and experience more than anything. You can even go up here without buying a drink just to admire the view if you aren't looking to spend any money.

RPM Italian
Giuliana and bill rancic opened up this restaurant in the city 6 or 7 years ago and it still is hard to get into without reservations. They are also opening a new location in 2019 that is right on the river front!! The italian food here is incredible. Most of the recipes came directly from Giuliana's mom who is a native italian, so you know the food is truly authentic. The presentation is phenomenal and the service can't be beat. Highly recommend trying this place

The Gage
this is an upscale bar that attracts a lot of locals. Locals come here for lunch and right after work, so if you want to live like a local in Chicago this is the place to go. The menu includes mussels, fish and chips, a vension burger and so much more. They also have a wide selection of beer and cider, but their rare whiskey collection and unique wines are really what draw the local crowd in.

Eli’s Ark
This place is so cute!! They turn their icecream into animal faces. The presentation is genuis because they know everyone will take a photo of it, but they also make sure their ice cream tastes delicious! If you're a big fan of ice cream and "cute" things then this is the place for you. Also a great place to bring kids.

Punch Bowl Social Chicago
this place is the definition of trendy and hipster. People love this place not only because it's so "instagrammable" but because the vibe and atmosphere take you back into another era. You get to pretend you're back in the 1970's for a few hours and it's so mcuh fun. The staff is very nice and it attracts a variety of different types of people.

AIRE Ancient Baths
This company started in europe and just recently opened up a location in chicago. If you want to be pampered and treated like an ancient god then this is the place for you. The baths take you back in time to what the luxury of history in the past would have looked like in the bath houses. This place is pure relaxtion, but it comes at a minimum price of $150 and you must make a reservation. Well worth the price!

Lone Wolf
for the times you want to avoid the upscale bars and come across a classic cocktail or craft beer in an unpretentious establishment, Lone Wolf is the place to go. They have a daily rotating selection of draft beers and a list of cocktails dedicated to a variety of old fashions.

Stony Island Arts Bank
After purchasing the building from the city for $1 in 2012, local artist and philanthropist Theaster Gates turned this long-vacant bank into a cultural institution. ***located on the south side of Chicago, but I felt safe here***
