Castle Hill
A MUST do when visiting Nice. Spoiler alert, the castle is no longer up there, but the stunning panoramic views of Nice and the Côte d’Azur are way better. Climb the steps to work off the gelato that you should definitely have while you are in Nice (but if you are unable - there is an elevator). Oh and the « I Love Nice » Instagram magnet is at the foot of the hill.

Place Massena
This is the iconic statue of Apollo (with a controversial history) and central plaza of Nice. Head North along Jean Médecine for chain store shopping, West for shops & restaurants, East for beautiful gardens, or South to the Promenade along the sea.

Cours Saleya
Market in the center of Old Nice filled with fresh local flowers, produce, cheeses, olives, and souvenirs. Take in all the vibrant colors and smells, shop for a picnic, stop for a drink and/or grab some socca.

Le Negresco Hotel
The most iconic building in Nice. You don’t need to stay there, but stroll by on the Promenade and if you want you can drop some money on an expensive drink to lounge in style.

If you’re looking for a more local market less crammed with tourists head to Liberation Market in the north of Nice. Stroll up Jean Médecin and you can’t miss it.

Gare de Nice Ville
The Nice train station (gare) is a beautiful sight. Stop to check it out as you walk up Jean Médecin towards Liberation. Or take a train to one of the nearby destinations on the Côte d’Azur (just beware strikes!)

Paris ain’t the only one with a Notre Dame. Check out our much smaller, yet beautiful one as you stroll up Jean Medecine.

THE most famous feature of Nice is the Promenade along the Mediterranean Sea where you can stroll (or run, or skate, or blade, or bike) while taking in the sun and views of the pebble beaches.

Opéra de Nice
The exterior of the Nice Opéra House is an unmissable, beautiful architectural gem, but if you have a chance, try to see a performance here since the interior is just as gorgeous.

Les Distilleries Idéales
This bar is a Nice staple - has decent beer selections. Try to get a sidewalk table if you can and watch people stroll by old Nice.
