Brooklyn Heights Promenade
Beautiful pedestrian walkway with sweeping views over the East River of Manhattan, Statue of Liberty, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Wonderful morning, noon and night for a jog, stroll, coffee, lunch, rest (there are benches) or just to enjoy the view. A must see in Brooklyn Heights!

Thai Villa
The best Thai food in all of NYC (and I’ve eaten a lot of Thai food in this city)! I’ve mainly ordered out from here, but the restaurant looks lovely and would be nice to eat there. Favorites are Eggplant Basil and Pad Se-Ew.

Dos Toros Taqueria
Dos Toros has the BEST burritos, tacos and quesadillas to go (think Chipotle but way better). Fresh local ingredients, friendly staff and locations all over Manhattan and Brooklyn - and Chicago too! Founded, owned and run by a few young guys who are friends from the Bay Area - bringing some of that Cali burrito goodness to NYC!

The City Bakery
One of my favorite cafes in NYC, with a couple convenient locations (also look for Birdbath Cafe - same owners!). The chocolate chip cookie and pretzel croissants are my personal favorites, and they’re famous for their hot chocolate too. Can’t go wrong with anything you try!

Colonie
One of my neighborhood favorites and a great place for date night, dinner with friends, or to bring people visiting from out of town. If it’s a small group, request the tables in the front window. Everything on the menu is delicious - ask server for seasonal favorites!

Hole in the wall Italian restaurant with amazing homemade pastas in generous portions - so go hungry! There’s no sign outside, making it a true locals’ spot. Affordable, delicious, and laid back atmosphere. FYI cash only and no reservations.

OddFellows Ice Cream Co. DUMBO
Fun, funky ice cream shop in Dumbo. They serve flights of ice cream so you can have a few small dishes of different flavors (why does no one else do this?!), and if you’re not in the mood for ice cream they have adult beverages and snacks. Perfect place for a birthday party or baby shower! My fave is sprinkles ice cream in chocolate waffle cone

Maman
Delicious breakfast, lunch, coffee and pastries - to stay or to go. Several locations in NYC and BK (Tribeca, Soho, Meatpacking, Greenpoint). The waffle iron hash browns, quiche, and any and every pastry are personal favorites! Everything is beautifully presented - lots of photo worthy moments - in mismatched yet classic blue and white plates and cups, which match the signature paper to-go cups.

Henry Public
Old timey bar and restaurant with great food and friendly service. My favorite place to post up on a Sunday with a book, have a bite and a beer, and relax. Sometimes there’s a live folk band on the weekends too - added bonus!

Brooklyn Heights Wine Bar & Kitchen
Awesome neighborhood wine bar in Brooklyn Heights. A favorite for Friday night low key dinner with impressive wine list from around the world, and small and large plates - the burger with gruyere is a favorite. Grab a seat by one of the big windows in the front and enjoy!

La Vara
Michelin star winning Spanish tapas in a casual Cobble Hill setting. We ordered everything the server recommended and everything was excellent. It’s small so make a reservation, but with a little advanced planning you should be able to get in.
