Fossil Dunes
About 30 minutes outside of Abu Dhabi you will find the Fossil Dunes. Eroded over time by harsh winds, it makes for an interesting day out. Plus there is a camel farm just 2 mins before you reach - what’s not to love?!

Barracuda Beach Resort
Ok so not really Barracuda Beach resort, but right beside it in Umm al Quawain (about an hours drive from Dubai) is an abandoned airfield containing this Russian plane that has been left to rot in the sun for years. The area itself is restricted however it is possible to get some pics if you are nice to the gatekeeper 😊 He was very friendly and eager to show off the airfield even though he kept reminding me it ‘wasn’t allowed’ - he even asked if I wanted to go inside!

Once a thriving fishing village, this abandoned town is now said to be haunted by the Djiin 👻Definitely a must see if you are in the area!
