Paris
Paris is my favorite city for kids because there's so much to do. Float a small boat in Luxembourg Gardens, watch the Eiffel Tower twinkle as the sun sets, indulge in divine French cuisine, or visit the Tuileries. There is of course, Euro Disney, which our kids loved, and it's much cheaper than its US counterparts.

Tirana
Tirana is an undiscovered gem in Southeastern Europe. Hidden away from the world for fifty years, it is emerging as a cool, hip, colorful destination. Definitely eat the local food: Mixed meats, delicious creamy, cheesy dishes mixed with peppers, with warm pita-like bread. The food is a huge highlight and delicious. Also, check out the Old Pyramid and the Bunk Art Exhibit that shows the time under their communist dictator.

Innsbruck
I was so struck by the vibe of this city. Wander the main square, see the gold-leaf government building in the center, and dine on delicious Austrian street food. Take in the energy of people all sitting outside dining and enjoying each others' company, and take a photo in front of the famous colorful buildings lining the river.

Bruges
Bruges is so perfectly quaint that it almost feels like an amusement park village. Take a carriage ride, do a brewery tour to see Trappists' beer history, stop at Dumon Chocolatier, and eat the frites with the many dipping sauces they offer.

Corfu
Corfu, with its gorgeous Venetian architecture, is a photographers dream. Every corner is picturesque. Explore the fortress, or visit the many nearby beaches. Mostly in Corfu, it's best to get lost in the streets and shops. It's mesmerizing!

New York
Our family's favorite things in New York are: Central Park (one can spend an entire day exploring), visiting "Eatlaly" in the Flat Iron District, attend a Broadway play, visit the famous Grand Central Station and The Natural History Museum. Dylan's Candy Bar was one of the highlights for the kids.

Venice
There is no other place on Earth quite like Venice. The Grand Canal, the maze of tiny streets and canals all intertwined, and Piazza San Marco are only a few of the highlights. We loved exploring the nearby islands of Burano and Murano where they made gorgeous items out of hand blown glass, and the brightly colored buildings in Burano take your breath away.

Delft
Delft feels like mini-Amsterdam. It is a little more quaint and quiet. Check out the many cheese shops where cheese is stacked to the ceiling, rent a bike, or stroll along the canals, and make sure to visit the Delft factory to see how delftware is made. Its an incredible little city.

We loved Edinburgh! Make sure to take the tour of Mary's Kings Close, explore the vast castle, and walk the Royal Mile. If you have kids, make a stop at Camera Obscura and take the fantastic Potter Trail Tour– you won't be sorry!

Philadelphia
Philadelphia is often overlooked as it sits between its popular neighbors New York City, and Washington D.C. Try the crab fries, stop at Harbor Park and chill in a hammock, catch a Philly's game, see the Liberty Bell and the birthplace of the U.S. Constitution. Visit the Franklin Fountain, and wander the charming, old brick lanes in Old Town.
