Edinburgh Old Town
Old town is majestic! The history, the architecture and the castle are intriguing. Shopping for wool and cashmere items are prevalent in old town, as well as the Scotch Whiskey!

Cityroomz
Cityroomz is located in New Town and a short walk from both the bus and train station. It is a comfortable stay at a reasonable price. Very close to restaurants, grocery stores and shopping. We liked it for the value.

The Real Mary King's Close
You cannot visit Edinburgh without going beneath the current city. Today’s Edinburgh is built over the original city which is why it is on a hill. There are tours through the original closes and you get to witness the life conditions of Edinburgh way back when.

The Elephant House
The Birth Place of Harry Potter! This cafe is where JK Rowling wrote her famous novels over coffee. It is located in Old Town just off of the Royal Mile. It can get busy so expect to wait in a line but it is worth it if you are a fan of the series. The food here is very good - the cakes and meals are delicious.

The Balmoral
Balmoral is lovely and luxurious. The afternoon tea here is a beautiful experience! The tea service, the lovely court and the live harpist just adds to the splendor of this stately old hotel.
