Panorama Cafe
Owned by the vineyard at the top of the hill next to Prague castle, this café, as the name suggests, offers a panoramic view over the whole city. The wine produced here is very good and even better, very reasonably priced. The perfect place to spend an afternoon after sightseeing.

Stockholm archipelago
If you are visiting Stockholm in the summer months, be sure to take a trip to some of the nearby archipelago islands. Värmdö was my favourite, with walks through the scandinavian forest and home to Artipelag, an international art venue.

Bernina Express
The idea of an 8 hour train journey may not fill you with joy but the Glacier Express is certainly an exception. The train snakes through breathtaking scenery from Zermatt all the way to St Moritz. Better still are the trains panoramic windows and on board dining.

Giant's Causeway
The Giants Causeway is a true geological phenomenon and well worth a day trip to see if you are visiting Ireland or NI. If you can get there before the tour buses arrive you will have a better chance of getting a clear photo of this magnificent coastline.
