Canal Saint-Martin
Who doesn't like to walk on the side of a canal with boats, shops and restaurants around. It is definitely worth exploring especially when it's warm and nice out.

Musée de Montmartre
In Montmartre's oldest house and you even get to see Suzanne Valadron's old studio completely preserved like a time capsule.

Luxembourg Gardens
A wonderful stroll through the park will show you kids playing, people reading, the Senate building and the famous pond in the center with tiny boats floating.

Île Saint-Louis
Behind Notre-Dame there is a second tiny island on the Seine. Spend time exploring and walking the bridges - it will definitely make for great pictures.

Parc Montsouris
If you want to get a feel for where the people live, this parc while being a bit away from the center is a wonderful area. Streets to walk and check while there: Square de Montsouris, and the beautiful Cité Florale with rue des Iris or rue des Orchidées.

Grande Mosquée de Paris
There is nothing better than a mint tea with pastries at the Paris Mosque restaurant Aux Portes de l'Orient. And when you are done the Botanical Garden is right next door.

Le Palais Royal

Passage des Panoramas
Google the various covered passages of Paris - they aren’t in the same area necessarily but the unique charm of those covered galleries and passages is not to be missed. Here are some to explore: Passage des Panoramas, Galerie Vivienne, Passage du Grand-Cerf, Passage Verdeau, and Galerie de la Madeleine.
