Conshohocken Italian Bakery
People will tell you tomato pie is just pizza without cheese. Those people are wrong and need to GTFO. The tomato pie from Conshohocken Bakery is unlike anything else. Perfectly sweet tomato sauce on a fresh baked, chewy, square shaped pie. You gotta try it.

Pica's Restaurant
There are a couple places that do a pizza similar to Pica's but our opinion is Pica's does it best. Emotions are strong about this style pizza, you either love it or you don't. Square shaped with the cheese underneath, sauce on top, and very different than your usual Neopolitan, this pizza isn't for everyone, but it's definitely for us. And for this reason, we recom

City View Pizza and Grill
For when you're in the mood for a greasy, basic plain pizza pie. It hits the mark every time. I can only speak to the Spring Garden location however, so try the other at your own risk.

Blackbird Pizzeria
Philly has gotten pretty good at the whole vegan food thing, dont beleive us? Check the NY Times, we're open minded and we like delicious food. Blackbird does vegan pizza well, and other menu items, but go for the 'za.

Pietro's Coal Oven Pizzeria
Again, we only speak from experience at the Walnut Street location, but if the other Pietro's are anything like this one, you'll get a great pie at any other them. The coal fired oven cooks a cripsy, smokey crust without burning it and the ingrediants are fresh and very high quality.

Santucci's Original Square Pizza
Another square 'za! This one is a more classic pizza flavor and style but with a thicker crust and signiture shape. It's consistently very good.

Mario's Pizza
Located down the shore, every Philadelphian's favorite vacation spot, this humble establishment, is open all year, even in the off season. Brave the summer crowds or take a weekend trip during the underrated (and less crowded) winter season for the most incredible egg plant parm and ricotta cheese pie.
