Colombia
What a turnaround, from being one of the most dangerous countries in the world less than two decades ago to the top of everyone's bucket list. Carribean coastline and colonial cities, Andean peaks and Amazon rainforest - this country has it all and the tourists crowds havent quite yet descended en masse!

Myanmar (Burma)
A troubled past and a seemingly troubled present, i was lucky enough to visit when the country first opened up to travellers and was enchanted by the hospitality of the people and the astounding natural beauty and cultural heritage on show. Go soon before it succumbs to the inevitable globalisation that mass tourism brings.

Its vastness is enthralling, giving a real sense of adventure and solitude to those who explore off the beaten track. Then theres the coastal cities, embodying the outdoor lifestyle of Australia with some of the best beaches on offer. Oh, and need I say the great barrier reef is breath taking.

Morocco
The gateway to Africa, close in proximity to Europe but worlds away. Mysterious souks, Snow capped Atlas peaks and the most incredible night skies i've ever seen when camping in the Sahara.

Sri Lanka
Diversity on an unrivaled scale, but within a country small enough to allow you to see it all. After years of civil war too, the Northern regions are opening up and are ripe for exploration, with some of the best beaches and surf around.

Like stepping back in time, from the allurung but crumbling Havana to the colourful Trinidad, Cuba is currently a country like no other.
