McHardy's Chicken & Fixin'
McHardy's won best fried chicken at the National Fried Chicken Festival, so you don't want to miss this spot. Also, ask for jalapenos on the side, and eat it in between your chicken bites!

Willie Mae's Scotch House
Classic New Orleans staple, you just can't miss this on a visit. There will be a line, but its worth it. Make sure you order a side of the white beans!

Neyow's Creole Café
Remodeled, revamped, new & improve decor, same menu! Things to order: fried chicken, cornbread dressing, carrot souffle, and the bow wow (a NOLA rum punch that's so strong, you'll only be able to handle one)! Warning: this place gets packed, go during off hours.
