Maunawili
would have to be one of the most popular waterfall trails on the island and for good reason. It is a beautiful trail, albeit a muddy one, with the views certainly making up for the mud factor. Once you get to the waterfall itself, there is a gorgeous pond to swim in and even a couple of jump spots, big and small so a jump for every adventurer!

Likeke Falls
A fun little trail which starts near the Pali Lookout, the Likeke Falls trail is known for the very artistic graffiti trail markings. The trail is another gorgeous jungle trail which is fairly easy to navigate as you make your way to the falls. There is a small pond to swim in and it is a great spot for a quiet waterfall hike.

Mānoa
A short and sweet waterfall hike which would be great if you are new to hiking or not very confident because the trail is very beginner-friendly. It’s a popular trail, which may mean you have to get crafty (or patient) when taking a picture of the waterfall itself to avoid having other people in your photos but aside from that it is quite a fun adventure. You can’t swim in this waterfall due to safety restrictions, instead this is a hike to the waterfall where you can watch the beauty from behind the fence before you wander back down the jungle path.

Waimano Falls
Getting to the Waimano falls takes a bit more of a hike that can be a little trickier than some of the other trails, depending on your ability of course. Rest assured that although the hike can be strenuous, it is definitely worth it because these falls have a decent size pond as well as a jump spot and rope swing last time I was there.

Lulumahu Falls
Another popular waterfall trail, the Lulumahu falls begin off the Pali Highway and lead you through the muddy jungle to the beautiful falls. If you like nature, there are a lot of good photo opportunities along the way because everything is just so beautiful and the falls themselves always make for good photos.

Hamama Falls Trailhead
This is a nice little waterfall trail on the Kaneohe side of the island. It takes you through a Lost style jungle then up a dirt incline to lead you to the hidden falls. There’s no area to swim in this one, but there is a pond towards the start of the trail where you can swim and even some spots in a tree to jump off. This is a pretty easy hike to do, it’s only the inline part that can be a little slippery if it has been raining a lot.

Kalihi Ice ponds
This hidden treasure of waterfalls with swimming ponds are a wonderful serene place to take a dip and cool off. The hike to these is very simple, just a walk up a paved path then a turn off down a short but steep dirt trail. Once you are there you will see multiple falls and ponds to explore, or you can simply spend some time chilling (literally – the water is cold!) by the first pond.
