Bay View Park
san diego skyline I found this tiny park on Coronado Island with the perfect view. I used a glass ball photo prop to add something a little different.

San Diego Museum of Man
dome of california building from the top of the museum I always love to get as high as I can in a new city and in San Diego that meant climbing to the top of the tower at the Museum of Man. A great museum in its own right, the tower climb was a fun addition. The guide peppered me with facts about the creation of Balboa Park and its importance, making the climb both necessary for the photo but a fun experience as well.

Dog Beach
I spent a day visiting small community beaches in and around San Diego and barely scratched the surface. Beach life and surfing culture is just part of life here, perhaps best seen in the quirky town of Ocean Beach and the gorgeous coastline it calls home.

Torrey Pines State Reserve
With views made famous by the PGA Tour event at adjacent Torrey Pines Golf Course, the cliffs are amongst the most stunning I’ve ever seen in person. Photos just doesn’t do this area justice, so trust me and stop by for yourself.

Seaport Village
unconditional surrender statue Taken from Harbor Drive next to the U.S.S. Midway and Bob Hope Memorial Plaza Inspired by that famous photo, this much-loved statue is fun to see in person and is right next to the U.S.S. Midway, making it easy to visit.

Salk Institute for Biological Studies
river of life Although I certainly love a nice landscape, I’m also incredibly drawn to amazing architecture, like this very unique fountain and courtyard at the Salk Institute. It’s within walking distance from the Gliderport, so make sure to stop by when you visit the cliffs.

Children's Pool Beach
golden hour photos San Diego fulfills the grand promise of California living in the best ways possible. Part of the daily ritual of visiting is stopping to enjoy the blazing sunsets, my favorite of which were all enjoyed in the posh community of La Jolla.
