Prepkitchen Little Italy
Little Italy might be slim on brunch choices, but don’t fear, Prep Kitchen is here. This spot features breakfast & lunch items on weekends that will fit whatever you’re in the mood for. Prep Kitchen is also under new ownership, so here’s hoping it can stay on top!

Pali Wine Co.
I almost included Pali Wine as a runner up to Carruth but couldn’t choose! This spot also features delicious wine, amazing cheese plates and a killer rooftop patio. I mean, it’s impossible to choose.

Davanti Enoteca
While Davanti also has delicious brunch (think build-your-own bloodies), the star of the show is their family-style dinner bites.

Shino Sushi + Kappo
I’m almost hesitant to even give them place up. Shino is easily in the top 5 sushi restaurants in San Diego and definitely in my top 2. Few people even know it exists! Shino serves up insanely fresh sushi prepared by talented chefs. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

Herb & Wood
Simple cocktails, attentive service and ingredient-driven dishes make Herb and Wood an easy favorite. Having celeb Chef Brian Malarkey at the helm doesn’t hurt either!

Monello
I labeled Monello as ‘showy’ purely because of their cheese wheel! Pasta specials are available in a cheese wheel every night. Check their Instagram daily to see what they’re serving!

Ironside Fish & Oyster
Quirky interiors, innovative dishes, oysters and craft drinks make Ironside an easy standout. It’s a nice break from the plethora of Italian food in Little Italy and you can’t go wrong with pretty much anything on the menu.
