Espita Mezcaleria
Espita is wonderful. The food is fantastic. They also have vegan menus and have wonderful cocktails. I you go for brunch you should def do the precio fijo which gives you the most bang for your buck. If you go for dinner give the Tlayuda a go. Aguas frescas are a must and I say do all the salsas but if you just one get the salsa de marañon

Oyamel Cocina Mexicana
Always good. Creative modern meixican food. The brunch is delicious with a variety of small plates, make sure you get some tacos, the divorciadas de jamon y queso and the ceviche de atun pacifico. If you go for lunch get the almuerzo rapido where you can try a lot of different foods and for dinner just get everything brcause it is impossible to choose. Last but not least they have the best guac around

Ivy City Smokehouse
Best Ribs in DC and the the fish platter is next level. The ribs are out of this world, with meat just falling of the bone and melting in your mouth. Loud, but fun atmosphere

the pig
For lovers of all things pork. Great ribs. Order the full pig if youre feeling adventurous. If not make sure you give a few sausages a try, the face bacon is to die for and must get the pork belly buns because they are pork. belly. buns.  For mains you can't go wrong with the pork chop or the porkchetta, side it up with mac and cheese and end it all with the chocolate cake

Lucky Buns
Best Burger in DC. Get all the extra stacks, doesn't hurt that you can add as many patties and fried chicken as you like. Don’t sleep on the spice bags or the patatas bravas.

All-Purpose Shaw
Great pizza! Always cooked perfectly …the pizza buona is insanely good, they use a chili honey that gives the pizza an extra kick. Make sure you hit up some salumi before you pizza and to give the crispy calamari a chance if fried food is your jam

Thai X-ing
The food here is amazing, chef curated thai menu where you can ask for seconds of your favorite dishes. The dinner is about five of six courses that start showing up unannounced but certainly not unwelcome. We are obsessed with the pumpkin curry, hello fall!
