Mr. Pickles Bar & Eatery
Mr Pickles is Hamilton's newest, and coolest eatery down Riverbank Lane. The menu is small but amazing, they have perfected each of the sharing plates on offer - from their famous Sticky Chicken to Duck Fat Potatoes, Honey Goat Cheese Doughnuts and more. You'll regret it if you miss visiting Mr Pickles.

Gothenburg Restaurant
Gothenburg has been around for a number of years in Hamilton, but still consistently receives raving reviews. With a tapa style menu there will be something for everyone to enjoy. The restaurant space has amazing views over the Waikato River. You can't beat it for a special night out.

By far, the best dumplings in town. From the outside, Chilli House may look a little unassuming, but I promise you will leave full and very happy.

Winner Winner
Moving out of the City Centre, Winner Winner is located in the cool and quirky neighbourhood of Hamilton East. Locally owned and run, they make the best fried chicken in town! These is lots of going on in the surrounding neighbourhood so make an afternoon of it and check out the rest of Grey Street while you there.

Chim Choo Ree
If you're wanting to experience something special Chim Choo Roo is the place. Housed in a beautiful Art Deco building at the very end of Victoria Street, Chim Choo Ree is probably one of the most exclusive restaurants in town - so if you're looking for something a little different this is the place for you.

Hayes Common
Every Hamiltonian knows Hayes Common is the place to go for the best weekend brunch. You will find them down by the river, just off Grey Street - serving up good coffee and great food everyday of the week. They also have a dinner service Tuesday - Saturday, which is worth checking out also.

Duck Island Ice Cream
Without a doubt the best ice cream in the Waikato. Actually, probably the best in New Zealand! Their talented ice cream makers create all sorts of delicious flavours. A must visit on any trip to Hamilton, beware there will probably be a queue no matter what time you visit but it's absolutely worth it.
