Rocket Coffee Roasters

Hamilton is blessed with plenty of great coffee shops, but let's start with the best (in my opinion). You will find Rocket tucked away down an unsuspecting laneway, alongside their roastery where they have a small coffee shop serving up outrageously good coffee. If you arrive in Hamilton in need of coffee, make this your first visit.

Demi-Urgos

Another favourite among the locals, Demi Urgos are just on the outskirts of the city centre. Using Supreme beans, they make a fantastic coffee and always with super friendly service - you can be sure of a good chat when you visit the baristas at Demi Urgos. They also have a great range of cabinets treats, including tasty scones toasted to perfection from another local favourite - Volare Bread.

SL28

You will find SL28 at the forefront of Hamilton's hippest laneway - Riverbank Lane. Serving up Rocket Coffee, SL28 is beautiful designed, usually quiet and makes for the perfect place to spend an afternoon escaping the busy city. Make sure you have a wander around the rest of the laneway and also check out the view overlooking the Waikato River outside.

Mr Milton's Canteen

Miltons is another one of my favourites. They have great coffee, a huge cabinet full of delicious sweet and savoury treats and plenty of tables - making it the perfect spot for working or meeting up with friends.

Mavis & Co

Mavis and Co have a huge cabinet packed with the most amazing food - it's always a struggle deciding what to have! They have two locations, one in Hamilton East and one in the City Centre so you shouldn't have a problem finding them.

Grey Street

Hamilton is full of cool laneways, Grey Gardens is located at the very end of Lovegrove Lane. Another spot using locally roaster Rocket beans, Grey Gardens make fantastic coffee and the quirky interior will have you intrigued for hours.
